Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, Southfield Road, Paignton, Devon 2012.021
- notes
- In the interests of preserving the public visual amenity contributions made by the subject trees to the local and wider landscape. The trees are healthy, showing good shape and form for their species and are an important feature within the local and wider landscape. 1st County Series 1880s Ordnance Survey map shows the presence of Southcombe House upon the location where the Police Station now stands therefore given the age of the trees, they are likely to serve as a link to this previous landscape. The subject trees form component and residual parts of the original landscape of mature trees within the grounds of large Villas.
