- 1. In the interests of preserving the contribution A1 makes to the character and appearance of the treed landscape. 2. Study of the First Edition Ordnance 1880s Survey Maps notes the presence of several trees which are still present within the grounds and therefore are of historical interest serving as a link to the original landscape. 3. The subject trees present adequate public visual amenity value being visible from Rock House Lane, Orestone House Hotel, Rock Lodge, a new development of properties to the east of the site, and the now sub divided Rock House itself.
