- TARSET THORNEYBURN NY 78 NE 31/96 High Thorneyburn Farmhouse II House. Mid-late C18, rear wing mid C19. Roughly-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roof on front, graduated Lakeland slate roof to rear. L-plan with outshut in re-entrant angle. Two storeys, 3 bays. Two-leaf, 4-panel door with overlight in slightly- chamfered raised stone surround. 24-pane sashes in raised stone surrounds. 1st-floor right is a renewed 24-pane sash. Quite steeply-pitched gabled roof with banded end stacks, flat coping with splayed edges and boldly curved kneelers. ,
