Farnham Trading Estate, Water Lane, Farnham (1965) A4D-07

description
Article 4 Direction: Farnham Trading Estate, Water Lane, Farnham (A4D-07) was made by Farnham Urban District Council on 12 October 1965 under the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1963. The Direction withdrew a wide range of permitted development rights affecting both residential and industrial land at the Trading Estate. It restricted substantial enlargements or alterations to dwellinghouses (Class I), the erection of incidental outbuildings within curtilages (Class I), and boundary treatments such as gates, fences and walls (Class II). It also removed rights for temporary buildings associated with operations (Class IV) and for temporary uses of land not exceeding 28 days a year (Class IV). In addition, the Direction curtailed industrial development rights, including works, plant, machinery, or extensions to premises otherwise permitted under Class VIII. By withdrawing these rights, the Council brought both domestic and industrial development at Farnham Trading Estate under tighter planning control.
