Torbay Council
Tree preservation order: 25A St Matthews Road, Torquay 2012.018
25A St Matthews Road, Torquay 2012.018
- notes
- In the interests of preserving the visual amenity of the tree and protecting its contribution to the character and appearance of the Chelston Conservation area. The Chelston Conservation area appraisal notes that the exotic evergreen trees add to the richness and variety of the area, as is the case with T1. T1 is an original landscape feature from the building of the villa in the Victorian era and therefore is of historical interest. Western Red Cedar is an evergreen species tolerant of pruning and therefore any negative relationship that develops with the property or highway, may be addressed by appropriate tree surgery works.
