FORD HETHERSLAW NT 93 NW 10/115 Ford Forge GV II Forge, built originally as a large estate smithy, later became a commercial forge making spades. Now disused. 1767, extended c.1830-40. Roughly-coursed stone with dressings. Welsh slate and concrete tile roof. 2 storeys. In 2 sections. Older section to left, 4 bays with steps to 1st floor boarded door in second bay. Shuttered windows. Steeply-pitched roof with flat coping. Brick end stack and ridge stack. Lower C19 right section 5 bays, with stone steps to boarded door in centre bay. Left bay has boarded double doors. 4th bay has boarded double doors in Tudor arch with keystone. Shuttered windows. Included far historical reasons. ,
